Hartford united Sports Club was
founded by André Murray, Donavan Bell and Osmond Taylor in October
1998, Our Missions was to provide kids in our communities the
opportunities that were never made available to us.
We wanted to leave them a legacy that would be part of future
generations. Our missions is to positioned and moved forwarded
in a manner that will bring about Diversity, pride, and
fraternity to create an environment of mutual respect.
We are committed to the ideas of teamwork, integrity, discipline
in the shaping of good citizen.
Our soccer team won the Connecticut soccer
league division II championship in existence and since then have
been promoted to Division I which we also won in only our third
season of Existence. As for the season they are
currently in second place and heading for another championship.
We have also added a over thirty soccer team
for the older players, taking he lead for the Division I team is
also in second place looking to revenge there semi final lost
for last season.
Although our primary focus was on soccer,
eventually other sports such as netball, Cricket and Basketball
were added to our agenda for incorporation. We had made a
Netball reality and they have materialized into another
winning program for our organization. our Netball
team has won one league championship and two netball
rallies in only their first year. We are looking forward for to
more success from all our teams as our season progress.
Hartford United Sports Club members are not
just winners on the playing field, but are also winners in the
classroom. This September we gave academic scholarship to four
of our team members who have matriculated to college. we look
forward to supporting our current high school members as they
look to following the footstep of their senior club
members. Last year we acknowledge two of our
students who have achieve academic excellence with a grade point
average of 3.0 or better. We supporteducation110% and do
whatever it takes to support our kids in their pursuit to
further their education.
To be continued, tune in next week at the
same time for more history.
